Conrad Bangkok review: I stayed one night at this 5-star hotel on Wireless Road and paid ฿6,695 via Agoda for a Deluxe King Room. The short version? It punches well above its price point. Here’s my honest take on the rooms, breakfast, facilities, and whether it’s worth your money.

Distance to Key Attractions

BTS Ploenchit 10 min walk / shuttle
Central Embassy 5 min walk
Siam Paragon 10 min by BTS
Lumphini Park 10 min walk
Suvarnabhumi Airport 45 min by car
All Seasons Place Direct connection

Conrad Bangkok Review: Location

The hotel sits on Wireless Road in the heart of Bangkok’s central business district, surrounded by embassies and corporate headquarters. It connects directly to All Seasons Place, a mixed-use complex with offices, restaurants, and a Tops supermarket. Genuinely useful if you need to grab snacks or forgotten toiletries.

BTS Ploenchit station is about a 10-minute walk, or the hotel offers a shuttle. For getting around, Grab works seamlessly here. Drivers know the hotel and the CBD location means quick access to most of Bangkok’s key areas.

Pro tip: The direct connection to All Seasons Place means you can order food via Grab from nearby restaurants or pick up groceries at Tops without stepping outside.

Check-In Experience

Check-in involved a short wait. There was a small crowd when I arrived, but the staff remained friendly and professional throughout. Nothing exceptional, but nothing to complain about either. I was assigned Room 1917 on the 19th floor.

Conrad Bangkok Review: The Room

The Deluxe King Room measures 41 square metres. On paper, that’s not huge for a 5-star hotel. In practice, the space feels luxurious. The layout is smart, the furnishings are high quality, and the overall impression is of staying somewhere more expensive than what I actually paid.

The design strikes a balance between modern and classic. Clean lines, neutral tones, but with enough warmth to avoid feeling sterile. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was notably quiet despite being in the middle of the CBD.

A nice welcome touch: the signature Conrad elephant and card waiting on the bed, plus a complimentary bowl of fresh fruit on the coffee table. Small details, but they make you feel like a valued guest from the moment you walk in.

Bathroom

The bathroom deserves special mention. There’s a clever curtain system between the bathtub and bedroom. You can open it for a view while soaking, or close it with the press of a button for privacy. It’s a small touch, but it elevates the experience.

The space includes a rain shower, branded toiletries, and a volume control that lets you hear the TV from the bathroom. Not massive, but well-designed. Everything feels considered and premium.

The View

From the 19th floor, I had a solid view of metropolitan Bangkok with the city skyline stretching out in multiple directions. Given the Wireless Road location, you’re looking at the CBD’s mix of high-rises and green spaces. Good value for what I paid.

Conrad Bangkok Review: Breakfast

Breakfast was astounding. The restaurant opens at 6am, and I arrived around 6:15 to find everything already in full swing. The variety covers Asian, Western, and Indian options, but what impressed me was the attention to detail.

The Japanese section, for example, served miso soup in proper Japanese-style bowls. These small touches show the kitchen takes this seriously. I sampled Western, Japanese, and Thai dishes, all excellent.

This is one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Bangkok. The meticulous presentation and wide variety make it worth arriving hungry.

Pool & Gym

I didn’t use the pool, but I walked through around 8pm and it looked excellent. The setting is attractive and well-maintained. I regret not making time for a swim.

The fitness centre, branded as Bodywerx, features Technogym equipment. These are high-end machines you’d expect in a premium standalone gym. There’s also a small studio space for classes or stretching. The gym wasn’t crowded during my evening session, and staff offered refreshments. A classy experience overall.

Conrad Bangkok Review: Final Verdict

9.0/10

Excellent

At ฿6,695 for a Deluxe King Room, Conrad Bangkok delivers exceptional value. You’re getting genuine 5-star quality. The room, bathroom, breakfast, and facilities all exceed what the price suggests. Compared to neighbouring luxury hotels on Wireless Road and Ploenchit (Waldorf Astoria, Okura Prestige), you’re paying significantly less for a comparable experience. This is the sweet spot of luxury and value that’s increasingly rare in central Bangkok. I would absolutely return.
