Ana Anan Resort Pattaya Review (2026)

South Pattaya, Thailand

The Bottom Line

10 / 10

Ana Anan Resort Pattaya is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Pattaya. The 45 sqm rooms are well put together and quiet in the best way, the bathroom takes up a third of the floor plan and earns every square metre, and the complimentary minibar, beach bag, and mocktail voucher make 3,800 THB feel like a proper deal. The Over The Moon rooftop bar alone is worth making the trip for. You need a car to get here and the access roads are confusing the first time, but that is the only friction in an otherwise very strong stay. 10 out of 10.

If you are looking for a design-forward resort in South Pattaya that takes its rooms and facilities seriously, Ana Anan Resort Pattaya is the one to look at. I stayed 1 night in 2026, tried the breakfast buffet, spent an evening at the Over The Moon rooftop bar, and walked every corner of the property. Here is what you actually need to know before booking.

Getting to Ana Anan Resort Pattaya: First Impressions

Ana Anan Resort Pattaya sits in South Pattaya, off the main coastal road. You need to drive here. There is no convenient public transport, and the approach involves a stretch of narrow side roads that will have you second-guessing Google Maps at least once. Stick with it. You will find it.

Once you arrive, the property makes a strong first impression. The lobby is open and airy, with wicker pod chairs arranged across the ground floor and a staircase that curves up toward the upper levels. Staff at check-in were polite, thorough, and patient walking through the room and facilities. The bellboy took care of bags without fuss.

Around 5pm, a member of staff brought a complimentary Thai snack to the room. Small detail, but it lands well. We also received a mocktail voucher for 2 at the bar and 20% off food and drinks across every venue on the property. For a 3,800 THB room, that is a generous package.

Tip: There is a 7-Eleven within walking distance of the resort. If you want to keep evening drink costs down, stock up there before heading to the rooftop. Over The Moon is worth visiting for the experience, but the 7-Eleven handles the practical side.
Getting Around from Ana Anan Resort Pattaya

The Room

The room is 45 sqm and feels bigger. The design uses a palette of pastel creamy beige, warm composite wood tones, and white walls throughout, and it works. Nothing feels mismatched. The wood texture runs from the flooring through to the built-in joinery, tying the room together in a way that most Pattaya hotels at this rate just don’t bother with.

The bed is large and comfortable. One thing worth knowing before you book: the “sea view” label is not quite the full picture. You do get a view of the Gulf of Thailand from the balcony, but there are condominiums across the road that take up part of the sightline. It is a partial view rather than an unobstructed open-water panorama. That said, compared to what a lot of Pattaya hotels call a sea view, this is still a decent amount of sea. It is not a deal-breaker, just worth going in with the right expectation.

The minibar is complimentary: biscuits, Haribo, and 2 Cokes. Modest, but it is included. You also get a branded beach bag, an umbrella, and robes, standard for a five-star property and all present here.

The bathroom takes up roughly 30% of the total room footprint, which is significant. A freestanding bathtub sits centre stage with a glass panel facing the bedroom, letting light through the space. Shower is separate, well-sized, and stocked with Dhyana Spa products from the resort’s own spa line. Slippers, a hair dryer, and a bathroom scale are all here. The fixtures are solid and nothing feels cheap.

Room tip: Bath bombs for the freestanding tub are available to buy at the hotel boutique near the lobby. Ana Anan sells their own branded scents. Worth picking one up if you plan to use the bath.

Dining at Squid & Co.

Breakfast is served at Squid & Co., the all-day dining restaurant on the ground floor. The buffet is not wide, but the quality is solid. Everything I tried was well-prepared. There is a Thai station alongside the usual international options, and the setting is comfortable without being clinical.

I did not eat dinner at the hotel. The area around Ana Anan has good options within a short drive. For local seafood, Tai Uan Seafood and Tonhard Seafood Pattaya are both nearby and cover different price points — Tonhard is the more casual, pick-your-fish type while Tai Uan is a step up. If you want something different, Bacco Beach is an Italian restaurant right on the water, and Glass House Boho works well for a relaxed evening drink and bite. None of them require much of a drive from the resort.

Blue Tang Cafe

Blue Tang, the in-house cafe next to the lobby, is worth going out of your way for. It is not the usual hotel coffee corner. The pastry and cake display is genuinely good, the kind of spread you would stop at in a standalone cafe. They do drip coffee, a full matcha drinks menu, ice cream, and a salad counter. The seating spills out toward the lobby and is comfortable enough to sit in for an hour. If you have a slow morning before checkout, this is the place to spend it.

Pool and Facilities

I did not use the pool and I regret it. From what I could see, it is well-maintained and the setting is right. It is not a large pool and it was busy during my visit, so come expecting company on a weekend. It is not a resort where the pool is a selling point on its own, but it looks good and it works.

The property runs a full range of facilities under the “Bliss” name. The Dumbbell is the gym, The Dhyana Spa handles treatments, and the SEA-nema outdoor cinema was set up with a schedule board and lawn cushions when I walked past. There is also The Under Sun, a ground-floor bar with an outdoor area, separate from the Over The Moon rooftop. I did not use the gym or the spa. The outdoor cinema looked like a good option for a relaxed evening and had a film lineup posted.

The boutique near the lobby sells Ana Anan-branded bath bombs, jewellery, and accessories. The bath bombs and accessories are genuinely good, not the usual hotel shop filler.

Over The Moon Rooftop Bar

This is the standout part of the stay. Over The Moon is a rooftop sky bar built around a stars and moons concept, and unlike most themed venues, it earns the idea. Each seating area sits on a small raised island surrounded by a shallow reflecting pool. The geometric lattice ceiling catches the light from below. The menu leans into the concept with star and moon motifs. It is cohesive in a way that takes real effort to pull off.

Cocktails run from 300 to 400 THB. That is rooftop bar pricing, not a surprise given the setting. We used the 2 complimentary mocktail vouchers that came with check-in, which softened the bill. On a clear evening, the sea views from up here are the best on the property.

Tip: Use your complimentary mocktail vouchers here rather than at the other bars. Over The Moon is the venue that most rewards the experience, and the rooftop setting makes the most of an evening drink.

Location and Getting Around

Ana Anan Resort Pattaya is in South Pattaya, set back from the main coastal road on a quieter side street. The immediate area is residential and calm. If you want distance from the Pattaya noise, that works in your favour. If you want to walk to the nightlife, it does not.

Walking Street and central Pattaya are about 10 minutes by car. Jomtien Beach is 5 minutes in the other direction. For anything beyond that, Grab works reliably. The 7-Eleven next to the resort handles daily needs without requiring a drive anywhere.

If you are self-driving from Bangkok, allow 2 hours from Suvarnabhumi. Use Google Maps for the final stretch: the side road leading to the resort is narrower than you expect and easy to miss the turn for.

What Works and What to Keep in Mind

What Works

  • Room design is well above average for Pattaya at this price: cohesive, calm, and well-proportioned
  • Bathroom is one of the best at this price bracket in Thailand: large, well-finished, with a freestanding tub
  • Complimentary minibar, beach bag, umbrella, welcome snack, and mocktail vouchers add real value
  • Over The Moon is a genuinely well-executed rooftop bar, one of the best in the Pattaya area
  • Balcony sea view overdelivers relative to what the listing suggests

Keep in Mind

  • You need a car or pre-arranged transfer: no practical public transport to the resort
  • Access roads are narrow and easy to get wrong on the first visit
  • The pool is compact and can get busy on weekends
  • Over The Moon cocktails run 300 to 400 THB: budget accordingly
  • Not within walking distance of central Pattaya or the beach: a car is essential

Ana Anan Resort Pattaya Review: Final Verdict

10/10

Exceptional

Ana Anan Resort Pattaya sets a high bar for what a five-star property in this part of Thailand should look like. The room is calm and well put together, the bathroom is one of the best I have used at this price in the country, and the Over The Moon rooftop bar is the kind of venue that makes a trip worth planning around. At 3,800 THB a night with a complimentary minibar and sea views that hold up to scrutiny, I don’t know what more you’d want. You need a car to get here, and the pool is on the smaller side. Neither of those things should stop you from booking it.

  • Best-designed resort I have stayed at on the Gulf Coast
  • Bathroom quality well above the price bracket
  • Over The Moon is a standout rooftop experience
  • Complimentary extras make the rate feel like a deal

The room design and bathroom quality are well above what you would expect at this price in Pattaya, and the Over The Moon rooftop bar is one of the best venue experiences in the area.

How do you get to Ana Anan Resort Pattaya?

You need to drive or arrange a transfer. The resort is in South Pattaya, off the main coastal road on a smaller side street. There is no practical public transport. Google Maps gets you there, but the approach roads are narrow and easy to miss on the first visit. Allow extra time if you are driving from Bangkok: 2 hours from Suvarnabhumi under normal traffic conditions.

Yes. The pool is well-maintained and looks good. It is not large and it does get busy on weekends. Bring your swimming gear: the setting is right even if the size is on the compact side.

What is the Over The Moon bar at Ana Anan like?

Over The Moon is a themed rooftop sky bar with seating islands surrounded by a shallow reflecting pool and a geometric lattice ceiling. The concept is stars and moons, and it is executed well. Cocktails are 300 to 400 THB. The sea views on a clear evening are the best on the property. Check-in guests receive 2 complimentary mocktail vouchers, which are best used here.

Is breakfast included at Ana Anan Resort Pattaya?

Breakfast at Squid & Co. is not automatically included in the room rate. The buffet variety is adequate and the quality is solid, with Thai and international options. Worth adding if you want a proper start to the day without leaving the resort.

What facilities does Ana Anan Resort Pattaya have?

The property runs a full set of facilities under the Bliss concept: a pool, the Dhyana Spa, The Dumbbell gym, the SEA-nema outdoor cinema, multiple bar venues including Over The Moon rooftop bar and The Under Sun, a boutique, and the Blue Tang cafe. Not all of them require extra payment: check what is included with your rate at check-in.
